#1 issue for me: drawing interplanetary maneuvers is a miserable experience

Recommended Posts

Pull it prograde, zoom out to see where you're going. It's not right, so you try to drag some more but miss by a pixel so it closes the widgets. Zoom back in on Kerbin and repeat.

There should be a window with all maneuvers as a list, where you can adjust the dV, add or subtract ETA, move it forward a full orbit, etc. while keeping the camera focused on your target intercept.

It's no worse than KSP1, but there at least I had Kerbal Engineer and a porkchop plot.

"That's the gameplay experience"

Bit of an exaggeration. I got my first Minmus encounter within seconds of making the node.

That was a heavy critique of the pre patch frustration.  I'm a fan of the current version.

Actually it would be super helpful if there was some sort of reverse lookup calculation? For example, place the initial maneuver node, but then "grab" a point that is opposite of the maneuver node,  and drag it around. So you could drag the apoapsis to a desired encounter with the Mun. Knowing the desired destination then, it should be fairly easy for an equation to automatically calculate the cheapest burn needed to reach that point, and thus update the maneuver node accordingly.

They should create an interface similair to the one from ksp1. I also made a post about this:

Agreed. I loved the node editor in the bottom left Of KSP1. Making changes in interplanetary flight was super easy and at lot more intuitive than this current design.
