Procedural trusses, panel's and beam's

something that might be useful in the science colonies or interstellar update where you might not be able to make 5000 part crafts or base's  

so you would have 1 truss or panel that fits your length, instead of 50 parts to fit in that one area if you know what i mean

the trusses could be extended only length wise and not increase in size or height,  but have different sizes like you do now, xs, sm, md, lg and xl

I think this speak to the desire of a fair few fans now to generally add a few more procedural parts for specific applications. I'm for having procedural or length adjustable tanks with a selection of part diameters and having part variants of those tanks that include: skeletal trusses (such as this), structural tubes, fairings and cargo bays but not parts such as pods, engines, reaction wheels etc.

i agree to

but at the same time we cant have everything Procedural otherwise we wouldn't have to many parts ( like Juno: New Origins )

so i think its good that we have wings now and solar panels on the way for Procedural parts 

and hopefully other parts that could be turned into Procedural parts that can cut down on performance or part count 

and for specific applications i think that would be good to have certain parts for certain jobs 

but were gonna have to wait and see!

Totally agree. We could have everything be entirely procedural but it would likely impact part variety; that's why I think a mixed approach is best. Having a selection of part diameters, with variants (Tanks, trusses, tubes, fairings and bays) and then perhaps only being able to just certain values (length) (maybe profile shape) for given set of parts would limit the scope of procedural parts and retain modularity we like. 

I've seen people suggest to add procedural landing gear but without fully describing what that entails. Personally I think adjustable landing gear (if you used the mod) are great but they don't need to be fully procedural, adjusting a few values is great (leg length, angle, etc) but they don't need scaling or to be fully customisable, just enough for quality of life. 

Same goes for other parts like Pod or Engines maybe a few part variants make sense, perhaps different crew configurations (number of seat/cargo storage) or rocket motors with nozzles type selection (number of nozzles) but I don't need to rescale them, don't change the entire model. Basically be very selective over what to apply procedural settings to and even then, not all adjustable parts need to be fully procedural.
