Hello Guys!!! Let us cheer FELIX BAUMGARTNER for breaking the sound BARRIER!!! It was a heart-popping mission because base on his words, he lost his conciousness a bit because he spins and controlled himself quickly, because his body can pop if he continued to spin and broke the sound barrier. In the video, he spins when he said he's losing his conciousness, then tried to control himself. He broke the sound barrier and then slowed down. The parachute was deployed at about 5000ft., and landed somewhere in New Mexico. CHEERS!!! CONGRATULATIONS BRO!!!

Now, the challenger is to try to skydive and freefall.

RULES:

1.) Your own style of launching the Kerbanaut, bring a parachute with him.

2.) A rocket can work, but try a balloon, it will be more KERBALISTIC!

3.) Any mods, your own style in skydiving, point his/her head down for the freefall and sound barrier breaking. DO NOT SPIN!!! JEB WILL POP!!!

4.) Please take care of your Kerbanaut, so deploy your parachute at a safe height, and SPEED.

5.) Before doing your mission, please post a "Flight Plan" first, like this:

EXAMPLE ONLY:

I am kerbalboy2000 and I am going to do a BALLOON ride.

"My flight plan:

1.) (-00:20:00) Let him go to the washroom first, you know, just for sanitary safety. And last inspection to the suit.

2.) (-00:15:00) Start boarding, last check to the parachute.

3.) (-00:05:00) 5-minute Countdown, balloon ready and crane truck engaged.

4.) (-00:00:30) Mass countdown, crane ready.

5.) (-00:00:10) ...

6.) (-00:00:01) Capsule released from crane.

7.) (00:00:01) Lift-off

8.) (Et cetera)

Wish us luck!!! DO NOT SPIN!!!

-00:03:00 after the long drive, wash up

-00:01:00 Bildorf suits up

-00:00:30 suit systems go, waiting in cockpit of space plane

-00:00:05 systems double checked

-00:00:01 ion engines turned on

00:00:00 activated

00:00:01 in the air

00:03:01 landing gear is pulled in

00:00:30 approaching 20,000 m

00:00:50 out of the atmosphere, correcting course to head for south pole, zoxygen activated

00:01:00 course corrected, landing at exactly the south pole

00:02:00 eps solar panel becomes dysfunctional, zoxygen levels dropping

00:5:00 zoxygen levels approaching zero, goo to know that we are begining our decent into the atmosphere

00:5:30 duct tape can be seen melting upon reentry, that's why we packed extra!

00:06:00 final decent to the south pole

00:06:40 landing gear is opening up

00:06:45 landing, but the brakes appear to be nonfunctional, that's why we brought MOAR duct tape

00:06:51 duct tape fully applied, complete stop is estimate to occur in 7 minutes

00:07:01 our estimation was incorrect, but we have landed

00:07:30 Bildorf has gone EVA, message from Bildorf, ". . . setting up scientific equipment to study creatures from beyond Kerbin"

00:07:05 shoot, did not mean to enter that classified information on the Public Kerbin Brodcasting Center

Did this today, made a rocket and went up to 152,000m, had a ladder and parachutes attached to an rcs tank which was attached to a decoupler, then I activated parachutes in space and disconnected from the command pod, put kerbal on the ladder, had a long 6 minute skydive back to kerbin, landed safely. Actually, we at Hooligan Labs did this while the real jump was happening! Used our balloon mod and was in true free fall, not holding onto anything, not even with his own parachute, for max awesome.

The timing of everything is in the mission report at the end of the video:

Unfortunately, it does not seem possible to change the orientation of a Kerbonaut in free fall, so he ended up going feet first. But that makes sense given the drag on their giant helmets! :)
