Name of Utility: LiteWait MunStosity Mk2

Screenshot: luq.png

Total Mass of Utility: 5.24 ton wet (no crew)

Part Count: 37

Features: Remote operation; Seats 4; Light in Weight; 2 Docking Ports (1 Jr [bottom], 1 normal [top]); Landing Lights; Long Battery for Dark Ops; Compact

Summery: The LiteWait MunStosity Mk2 (LWMS) is the latest in minimalistic landers from 25inc Astrophysics and Lawn Dart Technologies (ALDT), a subsidiary of 25inc. The LWMS Mk1 was originally designed as an escape pod for space stations and family picnics. The original was single use as it had no way of refueling to a fuel station, whether orbiting or stationary; thus the addition of the normal and junior size docking ports were added for convenience. This modification resulted in Mk2 model while sacrificing the pesky safety parachute. The Mk2 also sports and addition pair of rocket and RCS thrusters to add extra performance on descent and ascent, not to mention racing your friends who are most likely flying lesser imitations. This model also sports the KerbKady remote valet package that allows you to call for your landers wherever you are.

I present to you, the Puddle Jumper, carries 5 Kerbals, has a probe in case you need to control it without a kerbal on-board. Has a mun base refueling port that I have tweaked to mate with your mun base rover. 4300 m/s of Delta-V according to Mechjeb, so about 3 trips to mun orbit and back before refueling. Also has a Sr. Docking Port on the bottom, just in case.

Action Group 1 lowers ladders.

Though not as efficient as Nukes, the aerospikes deliver efficient power, because long burns aren't fun.

Note: Mechjeb is not on it, I just used the module to check dv and then removed it.

The shuttle is equipped with 2 nuclear engines and the most powerfull of the small engines.

The shuttle have room for 3 Kerbals with an addition of 2 Bi-Tech Mun Scoots! Yeah these are RCS powered Mun scooters are capable of flying much further than the propulsion-pack of a kerbal!

A few pics of it:

I feel that is quite unfair, I designed my original puddle jumper a couple weeks ago, it was meant for my Kerbal Space Combat utube series, It was intended as an ssto pic of original:

So do I Buzz66boy. I dont see how there is a problem! The two Puddlejumpers look nothing like eachother O_o

(well ok its got the same hight, and the thrusters are placed on the sides)

Does that mean noone can create a rocket or what?

Sorry if it comes our a little harsh but you cant have copyrights on the shape of a rocket in KSP...

Harv do you mean for this shuttle to be able to refuel things at the base? Or to be able to refuel itself from the base tanker so it can get into orbit?

Pretty sure its both, atleast that's what i'm doing :)

The Kerbal/fuel transporter MkII

http://imgur.com/a/LoGpZ

The Kerbal/fuel transporter MkII, or Transporter for short, is a craft existing out of just 22 parts, with a weight of 33,68 mass units.

It comes with 3 docking ports, 2 on the sides and one on top.

I have set the docking ports up in such a way that rovers should be able to connect without too much sweat, on kerbin it works like a charm with my own rover, based on the ones in you mun base.

The Transporter has 4 engines giving it a max power of 4 times 120.00, even though is may be a little bit of an overkill, it keeps the transporter quite stable and is able to accelerate really fast if needed.

There is enough room to support 5 kerbals, 1 in the control pod and 4 in the container.

The only action group set is set to the '1' key, toggling both the legs and the ladder.

Of course everybody is free to download, hope you have some fun with the craft

What better way to land on Mun than with 6 cheering kerbals strapped on the craft!

Please let me introduce you the Tricorne IIb, developed by norso

9gv.png

Mass: 38.92 t

Parts: 71

Crew Capacity: 7 (6 seats + Cupola)

Delta-V: 3685 m/s (enough for several mun landings/takeoffs)

Docking Ports: 2 standard, 2 small

Tricorne IIb has undergone several tests, and proved to be very durable.

All struts and fuel lines are hidden inside wings/tanks in sake of clean design :)

It can survive landing at up to 12m/s with no damage! (tested on both Kerbin and Mun)

Thanks to 3 independent sets of landing legs you can slightly adjust the position of the docking port for easy docking.

With it's 6 seats it's is ideal for sudden crew evacuation, as well as adrenaline sightseeing trips.

The B variant is carrying a docking port on side, which enables it to dock with the KepeTech Refueling Station and other crafts as well as grabbing them with it's bottom port.

It has Advanced S.A.S (hidden inside the craft) as well as RCS, which comes handy at docking.

Action groups:

1 - Toggle engines

2 - Toggle landing legs

3 - Toggle landing lights

4 - Toggle craft illumination

5 - Toggle ladder

More pics: Front - Side - Landed on Mun - On LaunchPad with full crew

Craft file: http://www.fileswap.com/dl/olbQ9c6OvM/ old version

Edit: Here is an improved version of Tricorne IIb - now only 64 parts! (only fuel lines and few struts were changed, also a misplaced generator was relocated)

Adjusted version: http://www.fileswap.com/dl/eS8Fpdi1B/

P.S. Also a few more statistics:

Fuel capacity is 2170 liquid fuel

With full fuel it can land from 15km with using just ~600 fuel and needs only ~280 fuel to get into 15km orbit (when taking off with total of 360 fuel), which means it can deliver over 1200 fuel at a time :)

Coming in at 3 mass units and 17 parts, the Light Kerbal - Lifter MkI is a tiny little rocket with an engine fit for a craft 10 times as big. It can achieve a Delta-V of 1,950 m/s fully loaded with four kerbals, and can have a maximum of 11.56 G of acceleration on the MUN. This thing is FAST. Features include: autonomous mode for return trips, thanks to the latest in probe core technology, a docking port for safe parking in orbit, and an ASAS unit for precise orbital maneuvers. It has a fuel efficiency of 390 ISP in vacuum.

Coming in at 17.8 mass units and 25 parts, this ship is relatively heavy. Armed with 2 LV-909 engines it has a TWR of 3.44 on the Mun and has a total Delta-V of 969 m/s. It has a probe core fitted for non-kerbal assisted flights and has solar and passive power production. Also comes standard with landing lights and a top mounted docking port for orbital station parking.

Here's my submission:

Name - FactoryX Shuttle

Screenshots - http://s222.photobucket.com/user/Mazlem/library/KSP/FactoryX-Shuttle

Specs - 34.79 tons, 51 parts, and Kerbal Engineer says 4478 deltaV / 3.5 TWR at the Mun

Made by Mazlem

Craft file download HERE

On my first test it had enough fuel to finish its Kerbin orbit, go to the Mun and circularize its orbit there, then land. So I think it's got enough deltaV for the job. :)

//edit the RCS tanks were not stock so I swapped those out and re-uploaded the save file.
