The LK is 3 parts. Is it really that difficult to build yourself? For the Proton, there are craft files for the Mir, just remove the Mir components and replace with whatever payload you need. Again, the Proton itself is less than 10 parts.

How do I know the LK is 3 parts? I can't smell that and i'm also not a specialist in space crafts, anyway thanks for telling me.

Yes, LRV almost ready...

Looks good, as usual!

Not to nitpick, but I noticed that the wheels kind of "pop" into place just before the end of the unfolding animation. You can see what I'm talking about

. Just a heads up. :)

Maybe because it's said in the manual. Just saying.

I really,really dont want to go off-topic again...but maybe,only maybe, you could take a look at your parts in KSPs folder...there arent many with SoyuzLK in front of them...or maybe,dunno...launch the game and check for LK parts?!

Back on teh topic...What was the mass of the LRV?I mean, is it going to cause some trouble with an offcenter center of mass?

I hope this isnt too far off topic (since the attention seems to be on the American pack at the moment), but does anyone remember the right rescaleFactors I would need if i want to convert Kosmos stuff to match up with Bobcat's 64-ish% scale?

Thanks!

I spotted a niggle with the new 2-parachute system on Orion... the critical point at which the 3 main chutes deploy is easily missed. I've missed it on descents due to user error, but for pad aborts it's useless because it's not firing the main chutes, only the drouges and my capsule is slamming into the floor at 36m/s.

I'm guessing I can get around this via an Action Group config? Maybe it could be altered to fire the main chutes at above a particular air pressure rather than altitude as (I think) it works now?

EDIT: I got the main chutes to deploy on my last abort test (got as high as I could) but although they looked fully deployed and open they were not braking the fall enough and I still hit the ground at 38m/s :|

If you don't want to go off-topic again, why you go off-topic then? it doesn't make any sense.

RescaleFactor = 1

RescaleFactor = 1

IIRC from resizing his cBBp Dragon Rider capsule, if it's the same scale issues, you also need 'scale = 1' in there too.

Hello friends!

Any way I can paint my orion spacecraft? A link or suggestion ?

Don't want to change textures, just want to use some black and red trims ...

You'll have to open the texture files in a paint program that understands TGA format, or convert it to BMP, open it, then back to TGA when you're done and add what you want that way.
