Wings3D and Textures?

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty confident w/ Wings3D and the whole modeling aspect but I can not find a way to generate 2D texture "templates" easily.

My part appears transparent in the game and I was wondering if anyone could tell me an easy way to texture my parts?

Transparency is because your PNG has been saved without alpha channel and the KSP shaders assume it has one, so the colours are shifted and one becomes transparent because it's using the wrong channels. Make sure you save in a texture format with an alpha channel (aka RGBA, 32-bit etc.)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 2d texture 'templates'. If you mean something to model from then use the image plane object, if you mean the outline of faces on your texture then it's the draw edges option in the draw options box that comes up when you finish UVUnwrapping and create a texture.
