nice design, is it stock ? could be nice to use this free place in front as dock for spaceplanes...

Unfortunately it's not stock... it's predominantly B9 Aerospace parts and uses the Attachment pack 06... I was able to launch the first two components into orbit (the flight deck component was by pseudo-ssto and the bridge component with KW Boosters), but the third component (engine deck) had to be hyperedited since it's practically impossible to send that thing into space... As for the front deck, I should have placed docking ports there...

Pah, who needs to wait? There's work to be done.

Specifically, regarding the DC 1-1. It's terrible, so I replaced it. Presenting, the DA 2-1:

screenshot60.png

"Why Orky," you say. "Why do you have four SRBs stuck on the front. Surely you don't intend to..."

screenshot67.png

"... use them as missiles."

The DA 2-1 is less parts than the DC 1-1, goes further (5000m/s) and faster (~4m/s2) and hits harder (16 hard-points + SRBs) with more utility (4 Standard + 2 Sr. Ports) . At some point I'll put the dot-craft up on my thread. It'll do Jool, though you may wish to aerobrake.

Surely he wouldn't try testing the aerobraking...

screenshot80.png

Don't try this at home

screenshot78.png

Bill Kerman is - was - a trained stunt pilot. DO NOT try this at home.

The vanguard is actually more of a destroyer imo. You should start a thread about classification on its own. Id say one flaw to your system is there should be a featherweight, sub ~15 ton category

Good point. And that actually answers a query I've had about where corvettes/heavy strikecraft fit in the classification system. So corvettes will now be classified under 'Light' craft and strikecraft are under the 'Ultralight' weight class.

Ok here is a quick look at my new atmospheric arsenal, updated for 0.21. :)

B-21A: https://www.dropbox.com/s/scrjjw0i1pi5z59/B-21A.craft

HVTOL-21B: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m70me7tniryd6es/HVTOL-21B.craft

F-21A - A twin engine, high altitude fighter. Its is highly manoeuvrable and fast but its narrow undercarriage making landings a challenge.

B-21A - A huge bomber and cargo plane, capable of taking heavy loads across long distances. Fuel needs manually balancing for best performance and a powered landing is recommended.

VTOl-21A - A light scout and attack VTOL aircraft. The new SAS makes these so easy to fly!!! :D

HVTOL-21A - A large VTOL able to carry massive loads.

Well, here is my first project on behalf of KIDI.... LAB-01 Valkyrie!

By its designation (I might change it sometime) it's a Low Atmosphere Bomber. This version right now has four attachment points that can be utilised as bomb slots or additional fuel supply. The Valkyrie has an altitude limit of about 17km, and can reach near-supersonic speeds at that altitude.

It is advised that attention is paid during take-off and SAS is active to prevent unplanned person injury and property destruction.

Slowly building altitude.

For some reason Bob is scared. Must be all the flames.

Ok i promised this...

THE AWESOME DUO

Inflexible Class and Zumwalt Destroyer, one for the seas and one for space.

Inflexible is a Torpedo launcher, needs refuling in LKO but then can get to Duna easily. It has a fully enclosed launch deck, with a removable (and controllable) cover. 6 torpetoes (you have to manually decouple them) but then they are pilotable and deadly, with RCS and ASAS.

Ok the long awaited for reveal....

ZUMWALT

Just stay under 90% throttle it overheats. Roll and Yaw control. Jettison Stabilizing pylons after you reach the water.

Oh. My. God.

That is one of the best creations I've seen on KSP!!! :D

How did you do the rotating turret?

It's two ships separated at birth launch.

The turret, when separated, drops slightly onto a bunch of rover wheels that surround what was the supporting column. The column now becomes a pin that prevents the turret from sliding off. Rotation is via RCS.

Do you reckon you could change it to use reaction wheels to steer the turret? Then it wouldn't run out :)

I shalt present to you..... SCV KerbaMat Mark 1!

It's a secure, armoured vehicle that can transport one Kerbal safely, and in case of destruction of suspension it can serve as a barricade. The stock issue also has a stock booster system as well as a small docking port, allowing it to refuel as well as carry a payload such as a rocket launcher.

ok, crap sorry for the noob question real quick, how do I post pics on here? I was post my debut showcase (insert villainous laugh) and realized I didn't know how to post pics.

First you upload them to an image sharing site (I recommend Imgur) and then copypaste the BBCode text to the post.

Ok, here is my first offering to the kerbal gods of war. Hope you enjoy these. As a new member of KIDA, I didn't know exactly where to post these but figured, it could be moved to KIDA if its acceptable. Yes I used Hyper-Edit to get it into orbit, and mechjeb for the stats, I just don't like having to both with ascent stages. However since the ascent stages for these are relatively straight-forward, I propose that Hyper-Editing these into orbit isn't cheating. Its saving time!

Ok here is the latest in the line of Co-XX ships: The Co-21D

The Co-21 uses next generation armouring and construction techniques while still retaining the good dV and amazing TWR of its predeccerors.

The Co-21D has 10 forward facing torpedoes and a main 'MAC' cannon, which is capable of ripping ships to shreds.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/gzbuihekrzdixxw/Co-21D.craft

Hotkeys:

1 - Toggle Nervas (Deploys Antennae as well)

2 - Toggle Boost Engines

3, 4, 5, 6, 7 - Fire Missiles (I set the MAC rounds to 8, 9, 0 but they are loaded separately)

Accel: 5.8m/s2

TWR: 0.59

Mass: 177 Tons

dV: 6750m/s

Crew: 3

Parts: 352

The main gun is a pain to load, but the results are well worth it. :)
