Latest features in 0.20?

First post on the forum, so here goes!

I recently saw HarvestR's dev blog about creating flags for kerbals.

Does anybody know what is (possibly?) planned for the 0.20 update? The flags would be amazing, but surely the devs would include more than one thing in a patch... right? ;)

As far as I know, nothing has been confirmed for 0.20 yet. I am aware that the following features are currently being worked on (not sure which update for):

-Clouds (long time away)

-Resource mining/gathering/processing

-New parts

-New aerodynamic effects

-Flag planting

-New patcher

Anyone is free to update/correct the list above.

What? new aerodynamic effects? Didn't we just get them?

I think he means things like wingtip contrails, and who knows, maybe even wind effects!

Also, why are clouds a long way away? I'd even settle for just a simple .jpg layer over the planets when in orbit, just as a proof of concept.

Probably talking about the reworked aerodynamics model that will make nosecones on fuel tanks actually reduce drag instead of increasing it.

Please please please this. There's literally no use for the Mk3 fuselages right now unless you download mods..Mk2 are at least useful in being lighter and less drag than the standard 1.25m jet fuel canister (why?) but Mk3 has no real utility unless you download C7 Aerospace or FatNose (which is actually a Mk4 size) or things of that nature. Would really like to see some expansion done with plane/shuttle things such as crew fuselages and of course cargo bays.

I do have a solid state drive...

And it's CPU limited anyway, SSD or spinny doesn't make any real difference. I seriously don't find the load time an issue. Start the game loading, go look at porn or something for the minute or two it takes and then go play.

I've never compared the two, even on SSD the load times aren't what I'd call quick. Agreed, it's a real benefit being able to minimise and do other things for a couple of minutes

Kerbin always looks ******* beautiful from orbit to me, and clouds in my opinion would ruin it :( though just a few clouds here and there I could live with, but if flags aren't in the next update, I might just die...

Clouds would ruin it...?

Didn't they say there's been too much focus on advanced features like resource mining lately in development and they're shifting instead to focus on career mode?

Improved tracking station and flag sound very much like features targeting career mode to me. I highly doubt mining will be in 0.20
