before 0.19, I built a stock SCUD launcher which I considered to be pretty cool.

while on the ground, it was powered by two 24-77s and it steered by RCS, but because of this, its range was quite limited.

now that we have rover wheels available, I've upgraded it to a new version:

also, coolness factor +100 for the atmospheric FX.

Here is my Musudan replica. (North Korean mobile missile launcher)

It's a two stage missile.

Instructions:

-Drive the truck in a safe place. (Outdoor location recommended)

-Handbrakes

-Throttle at maximum

-Remove shackles with [space]

-Activate SAS

-Launch with [space]

-When in sight of your target press space again to engage the warhead spin.

-Enjoy the destruction.

The warhead hits its target with a speed of ~260m/s when spin is engaged.

Ladies and gentleman, may i introduce you to the AOTS-1 Anti-orbit missile, AKA The D. It is a single, large missile, designed to knock down large targets, like capital ships and space stations.

Why is it called the D? Well...

The orbital stage is a little phallic

Pros/cons:

+Dockable!

+Capable of taking out a large station with one hit

+Great as an offensive or defensive weapon

+comes with its own launch vehicle

+It looks like a giant...

+Comes in a Stock and MECHJEB version for easy liftoffs or showing off your destructive prowess

-One warhead per launch

Will have more soon, including 2 armed spehsscraft

Its a higher altitude plane with 2 turbojet engines and a bunch of intakes. Except it has one big a** missile strapped to the bottom dubbed "The Sparrow".

Now, i bet your wondering why there are 4 retrograde thrusters strapped to this thing. Well that because this missile is special. When you fire it cancels out almost all horizontal velocity and falls straight down. Even at this point it is still controllable. The sparrow also has two rocket engines on the back that accelerate it towards the ground at tremendous speed.

There is also another version on the CK 10-B that has no retrograde thrusters. You can use this version to fly up to 30 km to strike your target.

Word of advice, ram air intakes are much better than circular intakes. And circulars are better than radial. Nice work on the missile designs btw. Can we see a boxed fin bomb as well? Too bad your missiles use those ugly textured fuel tanks. Ruins the cosmetic appearance. Hope they get replaced in the next update.

Can you give a suggestion as to what else he could use? Its a glide bomb, and i'd say it works damn well as it is. I did change a few aspects on mine, used winglets and a solar panel for long range (over 30k at altitude) flights

I made a modification of the cf-10b kingfisher that gives it an extended range missile and better maneuverability, at the cost of a slightly higher takeoff speed. The missile itself is a modified sparrow with extra fuel, lighter nosecone with an antennat for comms, and a solar panel. At a launch altitude of 5,000 meters, it can hit a target 50km away with fuel to spare, as demonstrated by the following flight. The aircraft has also been modified with a smaller wing, and no tail, giving it more of an sr-71 or parkzone stryker shape.

Weapon release was conducted at 50km from 7k altitude, due to a spin induced by pilot error.:confused: Missile recovered at about 5km, and proceded to climb to thinner air

EDIT: Recent launch tests have indicated more data about high altitude flight

Range (launch from 10km) >80km easily. Went from point 50km west of KSP to the tower on the island

Stable up to 13,000 m. Loses stability above 13k.

I'm going to request that someone make a weapon with the following characteristics

Not dockable

Single guided warhead

Range is equal to the distance between the two KSC's

First stage is a SRB or SRB cluster

Capable of piercing 5 2x2 structural plates in one go

Must be able to reach target in 30 min or less

Must have high acheivable accuracy

Must be reliable

In other words, an ICBM reminiscent of the Cold War days.

This is a sweet baby, can slip to mach 1 very quickly and finds no trouble obliterating it's target. I used a few mods: B9 aerospace, DJY's Pwing (AWESOME MOD), Romfarer's Lazor System, Ferram's aerospace, and the missile pack for the lazor system.

The nosecone of the bomb was a custom warhead that i edited (as a seperate part) so it uses Romfarers missile explosion. I have 2 warheads, a 1.25 meter and a .5 meter one. The D-K50 uses the .5 meter, with formidable blast radius.

PROS:

Carries 8 small missiles, 2 medium missiles, 1 D-K50

Formidable blast radius (D-K50)

obliterates any target in its path (all weapons on the aircraft)

stabilized by wings (D-K50)

Predictable Trajectory (D-K50)

At the behest of Rune, Paradigm Industries is reviving this research thread.

In response to increased hostile activity within the Kerbol system, Paradigm Industries has commissioned its first capital ship under the name Project: Dominus. The primary goals for this testbed vessel are that of a standard military capital ship; range, durability, and logistical superiority, with one key difference.

Project: Dominus is to be armed with reloadable SRB projectiles. Simulation testing has confirmed that the concept is sound, and logistically viable. The current simulated resupply vehicle does not currently take into account the transfer of fuel, only the restocking of Project: Dominus' six STAX SRB projectiles.

Testing of the launch system gives the first SRB launched a superb atmospheric range, reaching the shore at 342 m/s after being released from its test rig.

Prototypes for Project: Dominus are currently in drydock, and will be subjected to further experimentation once a suitable lift vehicle is commissioned. Note that although publicly released images incorporate a KW Rocketry Griffon engine, this configuration is for simulation purposes only, and all produced vessels will be free of module license requirements.


The following image was cleared for release after news broke of the attack on the Spiritwolf Halcyon One colony on Laythe by the Hanland Corporation. It is the hope of Paradigm Industries that this image reach the appropriate Kerbals at Spiritwolf to facilitate reproduction of this design. Paradigm Industries is currently forbidden by the greater Corporation to actively aid any other known space program currently engaged in hostile activities within the Kerbol system, but our hearts and minds go out to our brothers and sisters on Laythe.

I would check out my Yars-24 icbm. I will release it soon, but it's definitely not stock. Another unfortunate thing is that it has a MIRV warhead system, but the explosions are yet to be added.
