Can i put sas/asas into command pod?

They're both still on an old system that limits you to one class per part. Well command pods seem to consist of one of the old and one of the new but I don't know what the division of functionality is and what you'd lose if you swapped it from Module = CommandPod to Module = AdvSASModule

Of course, there's nothing stopping you writing your own stability control on the new system or using one of the existing existing ones like mechjeb 2 and adding that to a command pod.

As EndlessWaves said, Module = CommandPod to Module = AdvSASModule should work. The main bit that seems to control your ship is the MODULE. I've never tried it, though, so it might not. And I think you'd have to set some SAS torque values. The ASAS module has them at

Ki = 1

Kp = 0.6

Kd = 1

but i have no idea what they do individually. it just says "SAS parameters" above them.

They define the pid logic, basically "how much deviation is a problem, how quickly to respond, and with how much force"

It should be noted that SAS is really just a part's ability impart torque where asas controls the gimbals and surfaces to achieve stability, so there shouldn't be anything to prevent you from adding SAS torque to anything; your command pod however already has it.

If you can use mods at all mj2's Smart SAS set to killrot does exactly the same as stock ASAS, only it's configured with a more aggressive attitude than stock; you can adjust that if you like.

I'm pretty sure Lazor mod also offers some alternate ASAS functionality but I've never used it.

If you can't use mods your best bet would be to make/find a small radial ASAS controller or edit it into a nosecone, strut, etc

Ok, just back to report the result.

changing to Module = AdvSASModule / SASModule + those SAS parameters do get the pod have sas.

But then i can not control the pod after i dumped all engines..... can't pitch/roll/yaw anymore..... :(
