I would like to replace them with actual hints, like reminders to check your staging/landing gear/RCS/abort action group/fuel flow/etc., and those things you only learn after playing for 2000 hours: [1] [2]

Could go a step further and even have the loading screen images replaced with KSPedia pages, and things like delta-V maps and comm dish range charts.
