Does Star Trek alternate from 2009 movie overridden prime reality?

I watched both new Star Trek, i wonder does Spock incursion destroyed prime reality, does it any chance that original time line survived.

I think they are OK Spock just created another 'branch' of time-tree. Past remained the same, only current time and future changed. Why? There would be no old Spock if his timeline got completely erased.

What I don't get about the first one is instead of going back in time to destroy Vulcan, why didn't he go back and warn his own race what was going to happen.

Spock wouldn't have known of Vulcan's destruction until after arriving in the new time line.

I adore Voyager. Im watching SGAtlantis right now, the EMH is a reoccurring character throughout SG-1 and SGA, which makes my star trek feels.
