As many people as possible can join. You claim planets on a first come first serve basis. This could be awesome. We each start on a planet, and go out to blow up the other people's fleets. It goes in order of whoever has the lightest fleet.

You need not to now.

But if you want, click the envelope and then press the button that says "Compose New". Then you just add in your recipient (i.e. the one you will send to), the subject of your message, and then the message itself. When done, click send.
