How Not To Land On The Mun

Recommended Posts

It was to be a routine mission--land on the Mun and return to Kerbin afterwards. Unfortunately, adding a nuclear engine to the standard Mun lander seems to have removed the fuel ducts. Meaning that the nuclear engine ran out of fuel on the way down. The good news is, through the magic of fuel crossfeed, the Kerbals were saved. The bad news is... well...

KSC forced the pilot, Phildo, to get out and plant a flag as punishment.

Yes, we will be sending a rescue mission. However, Phildo probably won't really be fired, merely "moved to the SSTO program"...

So, Jenny tries to go over. Well, he slides a kilometer on his face, and then...

And he still has 5.6 kilometers to go. And I forgot to quicksave before the EVA.

It's that moment of dawning comprehension that I live for.

oooooh, ouch. you're gonna need walk a couple dozen minutes, aren't you (if you don't waste precious eva fuel). oh wait, you ran out of fuel. silly me!

For a minute, I was like, "Oh, I can spare 24 minutes", but then I read the rest. :(

I might end the flight, for his sake.
