One Night

(Note that this was written during a very bad storm)

"Daddy I'm scared!" Jeb Jr. said to his father on a stormy night.

"It's alright, come lay with your mom and dad." Jeb spoke softly to his son."See that. The light of the Mun penetrates through the dark clouds. Space is beautiful."

"Dad, when will we land on the Mun?" Said Jeb Jr.

"Someday son, someday."

Jebidiah Kerman was a veteran of 2 space flights during the Moho missions and 2 flights in the Kemini flights. He had a wife named Karon, and, as seen before, a son whom was named after himself. At that time it was the hight of the space race. The USK knew that whoever got to the Mun first would win. And they did not want the KSSR holding that honor.

The next day Jeb was driving thru Kape Kanaveral, his hometown, where everyone knew his name. He went to pick up his brother.

"Hey Bill, ready for work?" Jeb said to his brother Bill Kerman.

"Always!" Bill responded. "Bob said that he would be at KSC, so lets go."

As Jeb drove towards KSC, the sights there never got old. The VAB looming over the complex, with the Hanger and the Launch Pad in its shadow, and tracking station rotating as always.

"Hey Bob!" Jeb saw his other brother Bob Kerman, talking to Wernher Von Kraun.

"Gentlemen." He said.

"Mr. Kraun it's an honor." Jeb spoke. Bill said the same.

"Me and the KASA administrator have been speaking lately, and we think that you boys would be a great crew for a Munar landing." Kraun said.

"We agree." The brothers all said at once.

With that settled the boys began training immediately. All sorts of tests where conducted, from launch procedures, to re-entry, all fields where covered. At about T-1 day, the crew said goodbye to their familys, and set off for the stars.

"This is Flight Director Kene Kranz checking all systems."

"Flight Operations Go."

"SAS and Guidence Go."

"Medical Staff Go."

"Security Team Go."

"Launch Staff Go."

"Landing Team Go."

"Roger that all systems go! Kerman brothers from all of us, Good Luck and Godspeed."

"This is it boys. We are going to the Mun." Jeb Said.
