What's your favourite "old" game?

The only thing I'll boot up an old Windows install for is Roller Coaster Tycoon or Sim City 2.

I'll occationally go back and play Ocarina of Time too.

As for the not-so-old games, I have a lot of find memories playing Halo with my sister, and I would love to get another game of halo going with her again, possibly at thanksgiving, but it would involve several hours of fiddling around with software to get it working because I no longer have an XBOX.

And for the extra old games, Go takes the cake. It's almost 2600 years old!

i too love both Star Wars Battlefront games.

My favourite old game is Ascendancy. Its a great 4X game with turnbased spacebattles and strange Alien Races

It had 3 Dimensional Star systems and Starmaps and a great soundtrack.

I have seen many titles I still play every single day in this thread. There is Age of Empires II, Command and Conquer, Roller Coaster Tycoon, And Battlefield 1942.

If I had to pick one game from way back when, it would have to be Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2, and its expansion. The campaigns' stories were extra cheesy, and the game looked like you were playing with toys, but that is the game I have probably loved the most.

Seeing the name of this game mentioned anywhere outside of a Command and Conquer forum also makes me a little happy, especially when a picture of Yuri himself pops up.

Ascendancy was a great game, but my god, the colony micromanagement... @_@

Besides the original XCOM, the two games that I have sunk by far the most time in are Elite II: Frontier and Master of Orion II.

KSP is the only game that came close to these classics in recent years in my mind...
