I think the Mun needs a new time warp minimum altitude...

Recommended Posts

5KM up is not cutting it any more, as parts of the Mun are now above that height. It's entirely possible for vessels near to the 5KM mark to get removed from the game when on rails now, as just happened for poor Bob Kerman on my latest file. Pity, too; he had the rover with him... Anyway, yeah, time warp allowance adjustment is definitely needed.

Almost unrelated question time!

What is the highest point on the mun within a degree or two from equator?

I have tried wrapping a network of satelites snugly around the mun, the only problem is i dont know the highest point around equator. The effect of this has been a few spectacular flybys of mountains that i should have been at least a hundred meters above.

If I recall correctly, it's 5800 meters or so. I'd say 6500 is a comfortable orbiting altitude.
