Wouldn´t that make it a realy good idea? From an economic sense atleast. There´s no license to pay, they still have to develope the detailed calculations and drawings, wich they can still keep to themself, and reap the rewards from the income. Or, it could be government built and run, for the greater good.

I mean sure, if I proposed this you'd either say "She's a scam artist" or "She's plain nuts" But when the guy who did, PayPal, Tesla Motors and SpaceX proposes something big... Well... it's kinda to be expected.

Yeah, not really registering a whole lot on my plausibility meter. This guy is operating at a pretty high level of visibility, he's practically a household name. He's not going to get away with scamming anyone.

He's worth seven and a half billion, most of which tied up in Telsa and SpaceX, now lets imagine he gathers even 3 billion in venture capital, (an unimaginably large number.) So he skips off to, Venezualla or somewhere. Now he's go 3 billion + another billion he pulled out of his companies. And his other 6 billion is not only inaccessable but fades from existance as investors pull out of his companies due to lack of faith in him.

Now, my net worth is about twenty bucks so I'd be willing to take either 4 billion or 7 billion but 4 billion over 7 doesn't sound good to me.
