NASA says that Voyager has entered interstellar space

Maybe I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I'll post it again: http://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php?title=1189:_Voyager_1

NASA never said, before today, that Voyager entered interstellar space.

But enough of that, lets just celebrate that we actually have a spacecraft in interstellar space. :)

Voyager 1 and 2 are both still functioning and taking pictures. They aren't running on residual batery power for 36 years, they have solar panels on-board. You don't see many true-color photos from them because their low power (due to so little sunlight) and great distance diminishing the signal makes those images take far too much time and effort to send for so little value, since it would just be a sky of stars.

How do you know it don,t have enough power for a picture?

Well, you could sum the power consumption of the currently active instruments and the currently inactive instruments, then integrate the 4W per year decay of the nuclear generators over their life time and figure in storage and bandwidth requirements. Then...

.. Or you could just skip to 55:23 :)
