Laythe Lander Breaks Up When Standing Still

Recommended Posts

After I land on Laythe ground and timewarp to rendezvous the command module, my ship starts falling into the ground and then jumping up, and breaks up.

Kerbanauts that move around, drown in sand.

Is there a safe lander design or just not timewarp/switch ships at all?

You might be on unstable terrain. At least something is instable! Being on landing legs and with this little weight I cant see why your craft6 would be crumbling obn itself... Anyway try and move it to a flatter area.

I am amazed thiough at your design ;) Can this get back to orbit?

EDIT: maybe not enough struts with the smaller legs you ve used? Load your lander on kerbin's launchpad and see if itisunstable there;)

I guess this has nothing to do with the ship's design and a lot of to do with how the game interpolates positions and trajectories during time warp. You may try to timewarp when focused on something in orbit instead, or only use physical timewarp.

^^ The problem is that whenever I switched to this lander from another vehicle, it started jumping on the ground.

I read from a moderator in another section here that these struts are weak. Hope I can fix this with stronger ones.
