Uhm...Why?

After completing the first test flight of an ultra-light to be used for pilot training, this happened:

I taxied off the runway, only damaging the right control surface, leaving everything else intact. After shutting down the A/C, it seems to have caught fire. I had the crew hop out and run, but they too were on fire. The fire fortunately didn't damage anything, though.

Has this happened to anyone else?
