What's the planet that compells you most?

It's got to be Laythe. It has large amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere as evidenced by air-breathing engines working there. That's extremely compelling. It's also a big enough challenge to do a manned landing and return mission without being ridiculously hard like Tylo and Eve.

I have to say Laythe. For the past month, 90% of my space program's resources have gone towards setting up a very complicated long-term mission there. I'm talking ground- refuel-able UAV roverplanes, a space station, both a 1 and a 2 man SSTO ground-refuelable roverplanes (that weigh less than 13 tons), a sat network that also spans the rest of the Jool system, an ever growing number or reuseable space tugs, and probably a bunch of surface base modules once i scout out some good locations.

The oxygen atmosphere and the relatively few flat areas are what makes this planetary body interesting to me

Weird to say, but after playing since .15 my favorite planet to explore is Kerbin. I never screwed around with the airplanes much, but .21 gave me the optimizations I needed to finally build some larger aircraft that didn't bog down my machine. Most of my time now is devoted to building bases all over Kerbin using the largest cargo planes my machine can handle (currently working on a massive 600-part VTOL that carries 30ton fuel trucks). And it's so varied - there's deserts, rivers in more temperate areas, two icy poles, mountain ranges and plains and beaches. There is so much to do on that home planet, that lately I haven't felt the need to leave.
