To the other hemisphere and back

Recommended Posts

Actually i\'ve done it before; it was my way of testing moon landers before there was a mun. Of course, aerobraking made the whole thing so much easier. Within sight of KSC i didin\'t land; but i didin\'t have the orbital map either back then.

With docking, you could leave your spacecraft in orbit and use a lander for everything else.

Yes, but docking isn\'t here, yet.

Though, when it is, it just might be fun to put your rocket into Kerbin orbit, send off a module for a romp on the Mun, then come back and dock with your rocket, then land all that back on Kerbin. Have your very own waystation.
