Always be sure to put winglets, or for larger payloads, swept wings w/ control surfaces near or at the top of your rocket. This will make it easier to control the rocket, reduce drag, and make it more stable.

The planet is called "Kerbal", the green dudes are called "Kerbins", and the game is called "Kerman Space Program".

The Mun is misspelled; it's actually spelled "Moon" and criticize anyone who spells it like "Mun" and tell them to go back to first grade.

Use Mainsails on your probes!

This actually works. (not a lie)

I was literally about to say this myself.

EDIT: ...in fact a disturbing amount of these posts are actually true, e.g. the asparagus staging causing more explosions, the one about how it's good to have lots of delta-V... even the part about not getting too far from yourself. o_O

Lithobraking is the best way to slow down, so get rid of those useless parachutes.

When in doubt, always radially attach SRBs on top of more radially-attached SRBs. Try to get at least 3 solid layers and pack them as tight as possible to eliminate the need for struts.

When gravity turning, go horizontal as soon as possible to improve rocket efficiency during launch.

Spaceplanes should be aimed straight up when flying to space.

Only kerban is a solid planet, everything else you can fly through.

you can complete the tech tree in one mission by ether:

A) landing on jool and taking a surface sample.

B) Landing on the sun and taking a surface sample.

You can unlock a whole new galaxy to explore if you smash a kerbal into all the black monoliths in the system.

If you travil away from the sun far enough you will appear on the other side of the map heading towards the sun.

Your kerbals will travel back in time if you sling shot around the sun fast and low enough.

You, sir, are a master... LOLOL! +1 internets.

Probe cores don't require electricity.

You should go really fast during rendezvous, and away from the target.

RTG's should only be used on probes, 'cause all the electricity they make is poisonous.

There's actually a pretty detailed rift below the oceans in Kerbin, but the due to a glitch that never got corrected until now, the water have a much higher density that it should, thus making impossible to build an effective submarine at that little island base (yes, there's an active VAB there to build ships, but you must unlock it in the tech tree). One way to overcome this glitch is to dive in the water fast enough with a rocket that weights at least 20 tonnes in a precise angle (I think it's about 38,7º), so you can go deep enough to see the rifts before flotation brings you back to the surface. Try dive at 500m/s, it should do. Don't forget the correct angle, or you may burst your rocket instead of dive.
