New release is up, for KSP 1.2:

https://github.com/WazWaz/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/releases/tag/EVE-1.2-1

Besides working with KSP 1.2, the only significant change is that _MinLight should now be set to 0 (or just not set at all; the old default of 0.5 may be in old saved configs though), unless you want clouds to glow on the night side (eg. auroras).

Note that the Scatterer build on the front page of its forum thread as-of-right-now doesn't include @blackrack's latest scatterer.dll (for that, read it's forum). I'm sure all will settle in the next few days, until then, it'll be important to read each and every page on forum threads to keep up with inter-mod fixes and requirements.

Right now, I'm playing KSP 1.2 official with EVE 1.2-1, scatterer, and kOS.

Works fine here.

Proper installation? I moved the plugins to the plugins folder in the KSP folder in Steam but still no dice. I run KSP x32 for this one mod but I usually run KSP x64. No scatterer.

Which one mod? EVE works with x64, indeed, that's all I've tested it with, on the assumption that no-one would play with visual mods on a 32-bit system.

Plugins folder??? No, GameData folder.

that is not how you install this at all and there is no reason to run this in x32. run it in x64

1. open the GameData folder that comes with the downloads

2. move the boulderco folder to your gamdata folder

3. move EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements folder to your gamedata folder.

4. enjoy

Should I just start a new thread for EVE 1.2-1 and onwards, so installation info etc. can go on the first page? This thread is getting pretty long and out-dated.

Thoughts?

I'll do a premature 'woo!' while I download, and you can assume it worked if I don't come back and say, "It didn't work, here's the logs."  Either way, thanks are in order.  This is one of those mods I really always hope gets a stock implementation/always surprised it hasn't gotten a stock implementation.  Now that buoyancy, aerodynamics, wheels, satellite communications and airplanes have gone stock surely atmospherics will end up on the list eventually!
