reflections?
Nope.
Dude, that sound like meteor.

(No sound, nope)

Nope.
This sounds stupid, but... snowballs?
Nope.
A rocket or machinery junkyard?
Nope.
glass?....
Fragile in a way like glass, but not glass itself, no.
Void... Maybe it's in space?
Nope. Tis a solid object.
When all else fails, Google Search!

.....And the first result was a link to this thread! Very informative!

Aye, I wrote it myself. Somewhere in there you might find my Tumblr blog, which also has a copy of it.
An eclipse?
Nope :)
Rest apon the ground, deorbited?

Field of stars... Molten pieces from a crash?

A crashed starship or asteroid, or moon!

Sorry, nope. Thinking a bit too... cosmic.
Does anyone have the correct answer?

Please, someone post a new riddle!

And invisiText is a great way to have conversations!

I do, of course. You're supposed to guess it. And you're only permitted to start over if someone guesses it, or you all agree to give up. Otherwise, you'll just annoy and confuse everyone. Stick to the rules. This ain't a first for me, and I've had a while to come up with rules that work. :P
I don't think...

The fact that I'm french maybe don't help...

It won't make it easier, no, but trust me... the way I write riddles, it's pretty damned hard for people with English as their first language anyway.
A war zone, with bodies on the ground. Not exactly a graveyard.
Nope. Doesn't make any sense for the first parts of the riddle.

Patience... and it can be helpful to read everyone else's replies, so you can work together and cover more ground, as opposed to stabbing in the dark all the time :)

(still a fair bit of stabbing in the dark required, but hey, it's life)

Love?

....

Nope. Solid object.
Moons colliding in orbit and the debris raining?
Nope; single object, or at a stretch, a single type of object.
Well it's a solid object, so, a mirror?

Edit: but it's not glass. Ice maybe?

Nope, not so fragile as that :)
We need to go deeper in this sentence meaning!
Yes, yes, you really must :)

Feel free to go through and attempt to deconstruct it. I tend to slip more hints that way, too xD

Astroids???
Nope. Far too... astronomical?

The reference to the moon does not necessarily imply that it is actually anywhere near the moon.

The pale full moons rest upon the ground,

Pale full moons suggests something white and circular

Fallen from the void above without sound.

One moon upon another as though

One is simply not enough to throw;

This sounds like a pile of something. I thought coins at first, but they would make a sound (unless perhaps they're thrown into water.)

Fragile and frail as mere coloured glass,

So not coins.

They sit and wait near burnished brass.

This seems like a major clue. I can't help but think of something like this:

Patens_with_communion_wafers.JPG

The shattered ones are far away,

Tossed aside and drifting astray

In fields of corruption and fallen stars,

Cast aside like the broken vase.

Note sure how this fits. "fallen stars" sounds like like Milton's Paradise Lost: the casting down of Lucifer and his minions.

Diamonds?

Invisible Tenchars

Nope.
Emeralds? Rubies? Sapphires?

Kethane?

Nope.
The ocean?

Innocence?

Bananas?

Nope.

What on earth are those? O.o I've never seen them before xD
Actually, I believe this is the answer:

A shattered one

-snip-

Near burnished brass

-snip-

Extremely close. But they don't look anything like moons to me. Go simpler.

I just started writing this poem and let myself go with the answer in mind. It's one of the few things I've written where I felt that "flow" that people get. I haven't posted this anywhere else, so Google won't do you any good. It might help if you read it like Winston Churchill would've spoken, but your favorite narrator or public speaker will do.

Made organically of ones and of zeroes,

It was in all of our most treasured heroes.

Alas, it is in the commoner as well,

And in all the creatures that hear the church bells.

Durable as diamond, delicate as glass,

It carries itself out every day.

When it occurs it adds to the mass,

But with time the mass shall fade away.

It was around in ye olde times

And it is around still, even today.

It will continue into the future, it is seen in the past,

but in the present, it will fight to the end to stay.

The sword and the rifle and the missile are neutral,

To this thing it does not matter.

Many have tried to snuff it out,

but the prospect is as mad as a delusional hatter.

The only two things it does best,

Is to create and to destroy.

For these are the two things it needs to keep on

For if it does not, itself will be destroyed.

It is a natural work of art

But from all of it's artists, it must depart.

For they must not apply too much paint

Lest they ask for more, and nature replies "too late".

Many have been made, many have been lost,

The fate of it is merely a coin toss.

"Can it be won?" "Is it possible to win?"

These questions are useless, for it is a wheel spin

It is mostly made up of skill and of luck

It floats through the skies, it trudges in muck,

But sometimes, once in a while, it does get stuck,

And whether it gets out, relies once again on skill and luck.

It has been lost in many dark fields

filled with corruption and of hope.

But this thing is so significant,

It's importance vastly outnumbers that of the Pope.

It takes to the air and it swims in the sea,

It is a vital thing in both you and me.

It has been used for evil and used for love,

It was used in the dropping of the atomic bombs above.

Many things have been done to protect it,

but many things have been done to supress it.

Many things have been done with it,

and it it what it's denizens make it.

What is it?
