New Tech Trees Summary List

With more and more tech trees beeing made in TreeEdit and appearing in TreeLoader (or other tree overhauls), it might help to have a centralized list which briefly summarizes each tree, to give players an idea about:

  • general gameplay and difficulty
  • required/optional mods for balancing
  • anything else that might be important or interesting to know about the tree

Im starting the list with the trees i am aware of, which is not too many. So please, tree creators: Send me a PM with the following code template filled in and I will include you in this list.

Realistic Progression Lite from MedievalNerd, available via TreeEdit

  • Dedicated lines for each part 'category'. Pacing goes from probes to manned, and I also support numerous mods. This is specifically designed to work with Real-Earth Kerbin
  • recommended/required plugins for balancing: Real Solar System, FAR, Deadly Reentry, RT2, stretchy tanks, modular tanks, KW, NP, AEIS Engineer, MechJeb
  • supported plugins: Kethane, Extraplanetary, Interstellar, MSI Robotics, KAS, Lazor, TAC Life Support, ECLSS

TinkerTech from SirJodelstein, available via TreeLoader

  • Make backyard-assemblies fly. Hard. No energy generation until midgame. Large unwieldy parts available before lighter variants (but no large engines).
  • recommended/required plugins for balancing: none
  • supported plugins: ScanSat, Deadly Reentry, Kerbal Engineer, Stack Inline Lights, FigaroGPS
  • Additional comments/balancing restrictions: don't use airplane cockpits for manned spaceflight (too easy)

KSP-TV’ Yargnit’s Tree from SQUAD, available via TreeLoader

  • Earlier probes, forced early return missions (no antennae), larger engines later than in stock. Overall somewhat harder than stock.
