Can you disable displayed orbits of planets/moons?

Recommended Posts

So I'm trying to take some scenic screen shots and video clips from Map View but the shown orbital paths of all the planets/moons (as well as the dots that highlight their location in the sky) are kinda fugly. I couldn't find anything in settings.cfg that was obvious. Is it possible to disable them?

If I use the staging view then the ship/probe is in the way. :(

Map view is nearly ideal. I've hacked a probe body out in a 300,000M orbit around Kerbol just so I can get out of the KSC screen, and I can focus on the various planets/moons to get nice clean pictures... except for the orbits/"dots" being displayed.

You can also middle-click and drag to move your ship out of the way, though you can't move it all the way off the screen.

Best choice is to zoom way out though. At inter- (or even most intra-) planetary distances, your scene will essentially be the same zoomed out as it was zoomed in.
