Mediafire = Popups

It seems anytime I try to download things off of Mediafire, it creates a new tab or a pop-back (pop-up behind the webpage to be more annoying) ads(which my adblocker wont block as it's isn't technically an ad ) which could potentially carry computer viruses. Has anyone else noticed this recently?

Yeah, recently I've been getting *** ad popups from there. It's getting annoying.

Mediafire used to be cool but now you get spammed whit ads and pop-ups, thats sad :C

Yes, unfortunately, I'm seeing this as well. They've got buttons all over the flipping screen, and it can be difficult at times just to figure out which one to click and actually get it to do anything.

I actually tried downloading a mod and got a s----load of Trojans, viruses, and spam by accident when I clicked the wrong "download now" button.

Theres like so many ads with just "Download Now!" buttons, I always double check to see if its the real one.

It's annoying to not be able to move windows that have their top below the toolbar and having to look through over 30 download pages (yes, I like mods) for the gray window that is 80% covered with a link.

I use google drive. That's not what it's intended for, but it's unlimited, and free and clean. But it's still wierd to make people download my craft from google drive

If you have chrome, look up the extension "AdBlock". Get's rid of everything. Literally every add. YouTube adds, sidebars, popups, you name it. There are even ADDS for AdBlock!

Seriously, I have been living with the bliss that is Adblock + NoScript for so long that I have forgotten what an aggravating experience filehosts can be

I'd love to disable adblock for sites I support, but nobody appears to know how to make non-annoying ads anymore...

There is no excuse for serving virus ridden junk, even if you are trying to make a profit. I don't mind looking at the ads that pay for a website, but as soon as it becomes a security risk, ads are out.
