Can you change map focus?

Often I find myself wanting to look at a destination in detail, is there a way to zoom on places not the current flight focus?

tab / shift+tab will cycle through bodies and your maneuver nodes. Backspace to reset.

You can double click on any planet to bring it into focus, though sometimes you will accidentally switch to a ship or flag on the surface of that planet.

Probably easier is to use TAB to go through everything. You can also use shift-tab but watch out. Shift is throttle up!

Shift-Tab will also switch to the Steam overlay after giving you some unplanned throttle, just to ensure that it does maximum damage to your mission before you realise what's happened.

Yep, Shift-tab has borked me on more than one occasion with the combo throttle/Steam overlay. Am I smart enough to learn and re-map the keys? Nope.

Shift-Tab is safe if you use it at any (non-physics) time warp level of if you first hide the navball.

If I press shift + Tab to focus previous body my craft will burn fuel.

This thread is from 2013, also...someone answered your question way back in 2013 just above you.
