Most needlessly complex rocket for Kerbolar Study and Return

So, a bunch of scientists have their collective panties in a bunch about how all the satellites and junk in the vicinity of Kerbin are blocking their attempts at serious study of Kerbol. On top of that, politicians are worried about their summertime tansolives, and have thrust a truckload of money at KSC to fix this problem. Literally. It arrived on a truck in pallets. It\'s all ones, though. Anyway, the scientists aren\'t all that great at engineering, nor do they have the purchasing power you have. However, the politicians demand a spectacle, as re-elections are coming up and all their butts are on the line if this mission fails. Naturally, you\'re in the spotlight, as well.

Therefore, you are charged with developing the largest, most complex rocket possible in order to deliver the trainload of scientific stuff you don\'t really understand into a stable Kerbol orbit. Closer to Kerbol is preferred, but beware of Space Krakens. After one (1) successful orbit of Kerbol, you are to return your crispy astronauts to Kerbin.

Acceptable Parts

  • [li]Stock (duh)[/li]
    [li]NovaPunch[/li]
    [li]DownUnder[/li]
    [li]K&W[/li]
[li]Mission Aerospace (RSDs only, not that there\'s anything else)[/li]
    [li]Docking Node[/li]
    [li]Probodobodyne[/li]

Solar panels are only acceptable if used in conjunction with very low-thrust engines, such as ion drives.

Edits that add non-functional items (such as hab modules or decoration) are fine, as long as they have appropriate drag and weight.

Mission Parameters

The bigger, the better. Your orbit stage should be large enough to handle a bunch of green midgets for the duration of an orbit. This means food, water, waste management, power (enough to power the instruments, as well). You\'ll also have science equipment to handle and support.

Obviously, you have to get off the planet and out of Kerbin\'s SOI. More style points will be awarded for additional maneuverability (to avoid space junk) during this stage of your adventure.

The return trip can be as large as you want, as well. Keep in mind that you need enough fuel to brake and maneuver back to Kerbin\'s SOI. Bonus points for any scientific stuff you can return without breaking.

Notes

I know this is similar to the Far Side mission, but that\'s for the Mun. This demands a lot more on the engines and crew.

Also, yes, I am a stupid newbie, so the parameters may be a bit crazy.
