Can't recover landed vessels or landed debris from the tracking station

In the tracking station, I'm no longer able to recover landed vessels or debris. The only way is from the recover button when focused on the object. The option comes up, and I click on it, but the window stays open and the debris is still there. It doesn't happen every time, but most of the time.

This isn't a huge deal, but I jettison most of my upper stages before they reach orbit to avoid debris buildup, and then "cheat" by deleting them instead of focusing on each one and waiting for it to reenter. Now I can't do this.

The only mods I've installed recently are ECLSS and Interstellar. Is this a mod thing, or a game bug, or something else?

If youre worried about debris, set persistent debris to 0 in the settings I know this doesnt really solve your problem, but I hope it helps

To eliminate the mods as a source of the problem, try uninstalling them one at a time to see if the problem disappears.
