Why no roleplaying on forum?

It's a kind of collective storytelling, with some basic generally common sense restrictions (e.g., you can't dictate the actions of others and so forth) whereby each player or group of players create a persona and play it as a kind of game. It's often very competitive, at least with KSP-centric roleplays, as far as I've seen.

It's quite popular on Tumblr, though the format there is more directed at traditional prose storylines, as though it's a collective short (or long) story written by a minimum of two people, but every so often a group of three or more will get together to roleplay. There're entire blogs dedicated to roleplaying, many of them borrowing characters from various fandoms (read: books, movies, tv shows, you name it) or creating their own to roleplay in an existing fictional universe.

Don't tell that to the people that're fond of it, hehehe. It can be quite good, but it can be pretty terrible also, especially if the person you're roleplaying with is a terrible writer or just a terrible player or whatever xD

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
