It's not working for me... Running 0.25 on x64. Installed the mod and music files in the correct folder, double checked that. The mod does create the file 'settings.cfg', but my music is not listed.

Is this mod still in active development? I`m waiting for context specific music before I download...

Version 3 is coming along nicely. I've been focusing on it rather than bug fixes for v2 as this is a major re-write and most of those bugs will be irrelevant.

There's still a ways to go, but here's what I'm working on at the moment:

Check that the file libmpg123-0.dll was installed to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Kerbal Space Program/KSP_Data/Mono/ and that it isn't blocked. Also make sure all your tracks are in the file GameData/SoundtrackEditor/settings.cfg.

So now approximately half the files are displayed under unused tracks. Is there some way to get it to put the other half there, or better yet to just manually enter all the tracks into the appropriate playlists and have them go from there?

You're going to need to reduce your memory usage, either through keeping less music in GameData, using the active texture management mod, forcing OpenGL, or waiting for the new release of Soundtrack Editor that doesn't load all tracks into memory.

I'm also crashing with an out-of-memory error on 32-bit. The, "no music," settings.cfg prevents the crash, so you'd think too much music would be the culprit, but my Music folder is only around 74MB. I don't have problems in 64-bit, with or without this mod, or in 32-bit without the mod.

The EVE files are all mp3s, ranging between 3-7MB.

Anyone have any idea what's going on? This was my favorite mod when I played six months ago and I really don't want to play with out it. I haven't had any problems with 64-bit yet at all, so I may just run with that for now.

This mod should already work in Linux x64 for .wav and .ogg files.

Thanks for this mod. I'm looking forward to the next version. Have you listed (or could you) the types of events / conditions you can set to trigger sounds? Can it interface at all with non-stock data? For example could you trigger a sound when a major stall is detected in FAR?

Sounds can be coded to be triggered by anything that can be accessed by the code: Speeds, masses, time, colour, FAR stalls, TAC low oxygen etc. Each and every one has to be added individually though.

Yeah I must be doing something wrong...files are in the correct places, x64 version...but there is NO change to any sounds on start up. Any help would be appeciated from anyone! I loved this mod before I switched my build!

Yeah still no luck here.

Extracted everything to the correct locations per the readme...still no changes in game from stock.

I'm going to corroborate jstnj's story here. Soundtrack editor doesn't seem to do anything in LInux x64 (or 32bit, for that matter) for me. Music files seems to properly load during KSP startup, but no new music is played, and no old music is removed.

So after looking at the thread a bit and checking the OP I`m still not sure so I will ask.

I see that "Unloading tracks not currently being played from memory; streaming from disk." is a thing we could have and it looks like a very good feature.

Will this remove the standard tracks (thereby increasing available RAM) and only load the playing track or will they remain and the track playing is loaded in addition to them?

My suspicion is that the normal tracks are hardcoded and can`t be removed. It would be nice to be wrong on that.
