Perfect, now i can build an entire spacestation in my hangar and hyperedit it into orbit. Mind you, i'm on a mac, so i don't have numpad, but i can still make the * symbol.

I guess I should make an alternate key combo. Would Ctrl+B (for Biggify) for instance work?

All those Mac keys have odd names, so I forget what's Command, etc.

Does the asterisk give you more room to work in the vehicle assembly building too? My bigger issues is when making fat items in the VAB I'm pretty limited.

No. With the SPH I was lucky and found the parent of all the other parts of the building. In the VAB there either is none, or I couldn't find it amongst the thousands of objects in the scene.

But even though there are walls around you , you can still build through them if you need. Or lift the whole thing above the VAB and build it there.

Is it possible for you to make a button combination that causes the up-down mouse-pan to be viewed by the game as the same thing that lets you pan sideways with a 6DOF mouse? (As in, part of the plugin?)

OMFG PLEASE DO THIS!!!!! I personally use numpad * for my PTT key in multiple programs!

Better late than never!

I added a rebindable hotkey to v1.1, now on spaceport.

Edit the settings.txt with values like [*] for numpad *, a b or c for keys, etc.

I was not able to to Ctrl modifiers for some reason, but any single key will do.

Yeah, awesome job on this! I'm a Firespitter user and this will be fun to play with. Plus, it's just plain cool to build outside the hangars!

I'm sure you meant "it's just PLANE cool to build outside the hangars!" :P

I installed this mod, hit numpad * in vab, and the building hadn't scalled. What i am doing wrong?

Nothing. The VAB model can't be scaled, only the SPH model can.

I talked to bac9, who made the models when he worked for Squad, and he figured out that it's simply not possible because of things.

The work area is still increased though. It just looks a bit silly building through the roof.

It depends. I just scroll and build above the VAB. Only problem: VERY flat lighting. But then you could pick some lamps, activate them and place them around.

Thanks for this plug-in snjo, very useful with FASA asteroids.

I found an issue:

-add a probe core (root)

-"extend" the VAB (use Numpad *)

-move outside the VAB

-remove probe core

=> you can't get back inside the VAB ! (kicked out by an angry engineer ?)

That's stock KSP.

When there is no root part, camera controls don't work.

Add a part again (click on any part) and camera controls will work again.

Just a note that this seems to be working with KSP .24. I never used it before though, but it seems to do what it's supposed to. Pretty cool!

-Scaling the building model now works in VAB too thanks to Bac9's help.

-Default building size configurable in the settings.txt

-Complete refactoring of the code, so let me know if there are bugs!
