Looks really nice. One thing is though - did you not use/abuse the power of SAS modules?

No I have not, I just incorporated some. And some control surfaces, responds very well to pitch and roll.

The Junos are so slow....<_<

And this is why I clip 6 or so so that the speed is actually decent. Also thrust.

I know....But it feels so wrong...Not gonna do it.

My philosophy - If it works, don't question it! And that's why I also clipped like 10 or more wheesleys to make somewhat accurate HP.80 replica.

Tweak scale!

That would be ideal, but I want this to be full stock (and then stuck it full with modded weapons, decals and lights :sticktongue:)

I know it sounds Mad ....

@qzgy, I went with your philosophy, clipped 2 more Junos,  it.   did.  nothing.

Striped the things I didn't like, starting over.

Hmm. Try turning on part clipping and stick on like a 100. XD

600 m/s or more with however many are in the picture. About 14.

So yes, you can go fast with junos. You just need a bunch.

Made a whole new F-5 (still not using tweakscale), still won't get speed...

Yeah, no. Somehow my clipping didn't work on your craft (aerodynamics?), I only got to like 320 m/s. CFG file editing works though! I could work on it further, but you solved your problem.

<Snip>

If you want, I could show you how to fix that by changing a number or two in the craft file, so it will work for anyone, and you won't have OP Junos all the time, every time. I commonly used it on my replicas to give them realistic performance without excessive part count from clipping.

I don't mind at all, we are here to help each other after all ^_^

Ok, here ya go. So you start in your craft file by searching for "thrustpercentage". This will take you to the stuff about the engine settings that you need to edit, seen here boxed in red.

D6V3NlJ.jpg

So, you replace the thrust percentage with whatever you want your new thrust to be. If you want 2x the thrust, make that a 200, if you want to be 10x thrust, make it a 1000, etc.

The second thing you must do is change manuallyOveridden to True. Otherwise you won't get any more thrust than normal.

uYhwVdU.jpg

Here I edited an engine to have 5x thrust.

Basically what this does is force the thrust limiter to something > 100

Do this for as many engines as your plane has (in your case two I suppose), and voila, you have MOAR THRUST! :)

You can also use similar meddling to get rid of the needless display of oxidizer tankage on airplanes that use adapters, or empty space if you're using a fuel tank as a structural parts or only partly filling them or such.
