PringleMan
Hi I don't know if this has been requested before, but would it be possible to add in a feature to re-arrange the order of precedence for ribbons while in game? I do not mean physically dragging and dropping, but maybe add an option to assign a number precedence. The reason I ask is because some of my kerbals are totally cluttered with all of the "has orbited Kerbin, has orbited the Mun, etc." I would still like to have those awarded, I just think they are a lower priority than something like the Wings or Space Wings for RP purposes. Instructions are in this post.
MemeBeam
@Brigadier If the crash happens again I will send you it but for now it hasn't been a problem I speculate it was because I completely reset module manager by deleting all of its created files or Could have been caused by me switching mods so much. Enceos
Hey @Nereid! I love Final Frontiers very much, especially when coupled with TextureReplacer faces pack each Kerbal truly becomes special. I personally never liked ribbons because of their bulky shape and minimalistic design. I got used to medals, tokens and souvenirs: first, because they're each very unique, second, they're easier to display in quantities because of the equilateral shape. What do you think? Would you make a new layout setting for displaying medals? I would cooperate to make a medals pack.
SickSix
I have a problem. Just downloaded the latest version on a new install and my Kerbals are not earning any ribbons. My mods are: KIS, KAS, Kerbal Alarm Clock, Chatterer, Chute Safety Indicator, Drogue Chute Plus, Kerbal Engineer, Kerbal Joint Reinforcement, MechJeb2, Surface Lights, Trigger Tech, Waypoint Manager, Planetary Base, Final Frontier
SmarterThanMe
Anyone got any issues with this in 1.1.3?

adsii1970
@Nereid: In previous editions of your plug in (which has continued to amaze me), there was the ability to remove awards from Kerbals. This option no longer exists, as I am sure you are aware of. Is there any way to remove an award from a Kerman? Is there any way we can get this feature back? Also, I have created a few custom ribbons that I use and that I've been asked to make available. I do not want to release any more of them (than the three ribbons I already have) until I get your official "okey-dokey"... Of course, I will let you review the artwork first, if you so desire. gamerscircle
I just came across this mod, [yea.. I know] and I have been doing a historical type career, so pretty much all of the Kerbal' haven't been outside o the Kerbin SOI. I am assuming that this why they are not getting ribbons? I am running 1.1.3 and I don't see a FF icon on the stock bar, I installed manually., Will the Kerbals have ribbons already and how do I see them? If I don't see a graphical ribbon, what might I be doing wrong?
eberkain
You should see the FF icon as an option to put on the toolbar as soon as you install it. If you don't then you must have messed up the install, with me its usually that I put the mod in the main directory, not /GameData

blu3wolf
So Val just got back from a suborbital mission. Up to 82km, and back down again - shy about a 100 m/s dv for circularisation. We'll get it next time. On the way back down, it looked like she was going to hit the 30km mark at about the same time as slowing below mach 5. It was neck and neck for a bit, and ultimately the mach won - Val crossed the 30km line doing mach 4.95. Looking forward to at least another ribbon, we were surprised to discover that Val was awarded the mach II ribbon, rather than the mach IV ribbon. A decision has been reached, to award her the correct ribbon, but for future missions, might this be improved? Possibly in the next version of Final Frontier? Right, so the Kerbal in Kerbinstationary orbit will have traveled 0 meters in 1 orbit, while the Kerbal in an 80km Kerbin orbit will have traveled ~503km. Of course, that's assuming Kerbin as the reference frame. They'll both have traveled quite a distance in the Kerbol reference frame - which you may think 'why do we care?', but if they were traveling to/from Duna then you might care. On the other hand, if we are working on Kerbol reference frame than your Kerbal can travel at ~9km/s just by stepping out of the building on Kerbin. Even calculating just based on current SOI has issues, as again you'll get things like someone in a lower orbit traveling further - and Kerbals in stationary orbits not traveling at all. You could come up with a system that worked - but it'd be arbitrary and there would be a lot of choices made by fiat, for no other reason than 'we have to make a choice here, and I like this one.' Which tends to spark internet forum wars, as people argue over the imagined merits of the various choices.
