modding stock parts

I modded a stock part to include an sas and reaction wheels. From time to time the reaction wheel show not enough power, and they stop working, but there is plenty of power left. Am I missing something?

Try increasing the electrical charge the part holds. Afaik, parts use their own power first before drawing from the rest of the craft. The delay between the part expending its own power and drawing from the craft may be causing this.

Looking in a Mark1 Cockpit command pod, I see the following:

RESOURCE

{

name = ElectricCharge

amount = 50

maxAmount = 50

}

The reaction wheels I see don't have that. Try adding that into your config and seeing what happens.
