Oh my! I have to stop looking at all the pretty pretty pictures in this thread to report the easiest bug to fix.

The current release on KerbalStuff has a release version of "Kerb-fu_v0.20a", whereas previous versions have versions like "0.19a". This is making the CKAN indexer sad.

I don't suppose you can pop over to KS, and edit the mod info to have a version of "v0.20a"?

Hi, is it possible to use the naming convention of "Kerb-fu_vX.XXa" .... where X.XX is the version, as this would better match and identify releases existing on peoples PC's ( as v0.20a could be any mod )

Mainly because I will forget to change it when I update the site :cool:

Behold the Sneiffellzz Mobile Steam Production Plant!

This thing is about 22 tons without any steam in its tanks, and about 37 tons with steam in said tanks. Its purpose is to provide steam for steam powered rovers and trains that need it.

HUZZAH! another triumph of modern science :D

So, I have been further tweaking.... I have stiffened up the train suspension, and rebalanced a few parts mentioned by others.

please tell me if you think something is over/under powered etc, or if you can think of a good placement in research progression for the parts. :)

This mod is absolutely gorgeous.

well, i have notenough time yet to try every part and system, but at first i decided to build an amphibious airship/patrol boat and on shots below is what it looks like.

P.S. it seems to me that it would be a great idea to add some ordinary sails for ships and airships to this mod pack. Also i can not attach the boat hull parts to struts, can it be fixed?

P.P.S. oh, and what about a water pump for replenishment of water tanks while splashdown? it seems to me it could be good idea!

water tanks are good for many purposes, also you can use them for balancing your ship. so, if you have a pump for venting or fulling the tanks, you can keep your ship stable everywhere!

next. you can make a steam propeller and with steam generator you can have a steamer ship, like in old-good past centuries. and with water pump you will have infinite water reserve!

Sonlong Kerman returned safely after completing six orbits. The mission plan was for ten orbits, but Sonlong misused the oxygen generating candle to reheat his tea.

Now that's what I call an airship!!!

yes the collider on the ship hull bow/stern part is complicated and needs revision, water pump and steam prop/screw sounds like a good idea, I will have to see what happens :)

Is there a way to hide a probe core inside a cargo barrel? I want to put a few communication satellites around Mun, but neither spoil the nice steampunky look of by craft by strangely alien, "high tech" looking parts nor make them manned... Ah, Kerballed...

On the other hand, shooting them in a five-hundred-year mission around the Mun could be the Kerbal version of "banishment to Australia" :sticktongue:

This has actually got me to the point where I'm thinking of trying my hand at some modding of my own.

I am brainstorming some probe and rover cores, will hopefully be out soon

This is how rocketpunk/steamrocketpunk spaceflight goes. I removed my probe core from the game entirely.

If you want a communications station, you're going to need to use a proper space station.

In my opinion, if you want an authentic steampunk experience, and you REALLY want probe cores, you're going to need to use 4-tonne Difference-Engine Machines stuck to the front of spacecraft.

wait... sun-tracking parts that are stack-mounted? What happens to parts attached to them?

Also, speaking of the sun... Can we have giant parabolic mirror solar boilers? The tiny ones just don't cut it.
