With appropriate invocation of the Kraken, now I believe. You could probably simulate the effect with mods too.

So many hours of my childhood wasted trying to S rank every mission, never to succeed, and I never picked up on this? I dumped more hours into this than I have KSP so far and yet I can pick up how to play this and miss simple details like that in what I consider a childhood gem. Huh, I must like KSP more than I thought

S rank? I swear that game only went up to A. And parhaps replaying levels and their variants means you only played through the story in whole a few times?
