<p><strong>EarthLight</strong> came through with another fine piece of jingoistic art for <em><strong>KSP</strong></em>. Something tells us that <strong>EarthLight</strong> and <strong>ShimmytheJJ</strong>'s announcer should get together for a project.</p>

A Redshirt and a Stormtrooper meet on a planet. The Stormtrooper fires and misses, and the Redshirt dies anyway.

"Never be the anonymous redshirt. He always dies first." - My mom.

Jeb'll be fine, he isn't anonymous. It's like when Captain Picard and Captain Kirk team up. Both are redshirts but neither of them die. (Actually, that's kind of a lie, you'll know kirk died if you watched the movie, but he was already dead anyway, so that doesn't count.)

Makes sense. Jeb always dies.

@Endersmens Yes because it would take soooo much time, and be incredibly difficult to do such a thing. I'm always surprised that most of our great modders can put out multiple part packs and great new modules in a week...."solo" but the KSP team seems to take copious amounts of time changing very little. But I better say it, so as not to sound unappreciative of my $25 investment, good job on the progress of the game team. Now back to my heavily modded KSP that has 70% of the stock parts removed and a great planet mod addition.

Actually, most modders work quite a long time on their modules, too, and it's just a single feature (which they then maintain), while Squad has to support the entire game. Making part packs isn't the Squad's job (there will be time for that later), what they have to do it to provide a solid, capable framework for mods. Generally, the only time we get new parts is when they are needed for some new feature Squad implements. Once KSP is feature-complete, they can start reworking and adding parts.

The KSP developers create, test, and hone the code which allows mods to change details and sub-aspects of the game. Can you really not see that making engines that work properly is going to take more time than modding existing engine code to make a variation on the stock engines? Squad made the stock Kerbals, and then they moved on to create career mode, asteroids, and so on. If a mod maker wants to come along and add color to those Kerbal suits while Squad is expanding the base game, this is hardly dereliction on the part of the developers.

Hi, ArkaelDren. You're more than welcome to play your game with as many mods as you want. Customize your experience to your heart's content. Just remember, without that framework - that bigger picture stuff that is getting us closer and closer to hitting the point of "scope complete" in the stock version, the experience you have with your mods may not be the same. I'm sorry that you feel that things may be taking slower than you'd like, but when you consider the scope of what's being put into each update, the size of the team, the time it takes to get tested and the need to release a stable, polished product to a wide audience - among other things - I hope you can understand why things have taken the time they have thus far. Especially in the case of ARM, don't forget that the devs were working on two updates at once that whole time.

This is a forum, in which people are allowed to respond with opinions either negative or positive. I did so with a bit of sarcasm, that is all. My opinion is shared quite a bit within this community. I am simply giving a smart *** version. I end 95% of my posts with a much appreciated thank you, for the work that is put into this product and the greater modding community. But thx for the reply's to my post. Its still great to see a mature community, being able to express its discontent of ones opinion. Sorry guys, but I'm just worried its taking to long to see the changes that are going to be necessary, for KSP's evolution in maintaining its hold.

My real concern... If some large developer(to late) sees the great value, that KSP is holding as a "not so niche" area in gaming, then they are going to poor millions into a slaughter of our beloved KSP. Don't think for a moment, that they have not assessed the market for such an investment, and the return.
