[Showcase] Showoff Your Rep-Worthy Crafts

Recommended Posts

After days of work I was able to build two great rotary winged aircraft.

The Skywhale and the Guppy. The Skywhale is a massive cargo helicopter while the Guppy is a much smaller naval utility helicopter. The Skywhale has giant strong landing gear for touching down with heavy payloads while the Guppy comes with two pontoons capable of both vertical land landings and water landings.

Both have a horizontal top speed of about 40 M/S The guppy however should be kept under 30 M/S as it has a much lighter and weaker rotor assembly for its small and compact size.

Since both use extremely efficient jet engines to spin their rotors they have very long ranges for stock rotor-crafts.

I present you the DeepDiver v2 (this was at version v0.23 or before that one).

It is a remote controlled drone, which can be deployed from space and actually change his trajectory effectively to hit a specific target - preferably a planet/moon with atmosphere as it employs two Mk2-R parachutes (below the solar panels).

It is a symmetrical vehicle, thus making it stable when using thrusters, and also has a low profile. It is then even more slick and easy to control.

It has two seats which are good for a rescue.

Even I wouldn't be able to make a functioning helicopter THAT small.

You know, thinking about it I think I may be able to. I played with stock rotors a while ago and made quite a small one that worked quite well.

I will try to get it to work, no promises though.

Hello,

Being rather fed-up of lag caused by my huge space stations, I decided to focus my efforts on something land-based. The obvious choice was a fully functional MRLS (Multiple Rocket Launch System).

Here is a photo as well as a super-artistic video showing it in action:
