Mh I don't really plan to do so, at last not for Red Dragon. I guess they will land it completely propulsively, since Dragon V2s chutes are supposed for earth only, and they'd need to be huge for such  a heavy payload, so I guess it's easier to just land completely under engines. I heard that they'd also add additional fuel inside the Dragon, because there won't be any humans onboard. But for Dragon V2, I also plan to do a parachute system, just like in the pad abort test. :)

If you're interested, I have some pre-existing models of V2 I made a few months ago. Although, I made them in solidworks, and converting to blender is a bit of a pain.

I unfortunately don't have any in-dev pics of Dragon V2 yet, but I instead have a render of Atlas II!

I still need to get the Centaur bottom done, and also the first stage engines.

The next thing up after this will be Atlas III.

SpaceX Pack Version 2.3 released!

Changelog:

  • KSP 1.1.2 support
  • Added JCSAT 14 payload fairing texture
  • Added Merlin 1D Full Thrust+
  • Added black texture for Falcon landing legs
  • One or two small bug fixes

Hey Kartoffelkuchen, your fairings arent staging (and not showing staging capablity). What is happening (I installed all that was required)? And can you correct this?
