[1.7.2] KK Launchers - Delta, Atlas Pack

just download the spacex pack, cannot wait for F9 1.1. On a IRL note, the F9 for RTF (return to flight, after the CRS-7 launch mishap) is at the cape for a December Launch.

downloaded it, causing so much lag when the parts are on the screen the game is unplayable. ill try lowering my settings.
nevermind, didn't work. removed the pack, game is back to normal. Edited by DarthVader

Yes, I saw that on NASAspaceflight now. :)
Uhm, really?:huh: Can you say which parts exactly create that much lag, or do all parts create lag? It could have something to do with the Merlin colliders, though I haven't experimented with them yet.

I've got Merlin 1D now in KSP, support for Texture Replacer is also there! ;)

Though you might consider to overhaul the trunk a bit, the two "cases" on the side where you attached the solar arrays to are actually protection covers for the solar arrays.

Once in space, these covers get jettisoned. Also, where the arrays are attached, the trunk is like a straight wall, you can see this very good here:

that was the part causing severe lag for me. i was trying to build my own F9 Dragon qualification unit to add a parachute in the interstage. loading the craft file from the vab window in the space center worked, with minimal wait.
nvm, still waiting.
made a Falcon 5, not enough TWR. crammed a parachute in the interstage, hopefully works
now if the engine block lag could be fixed this would be cool. Edited by DarthVader

Good news on the source of the lag, now you can rush a hotfix. SpaceX Ãœber alles. Small note: the F9 engine sounds are extremely annoying to the point that I turned the sound off, can you find better clips and blend them more? Edited by DarthVader

Seems like a waste of time seeing as there already are like 3 mods that add different Saturns to the game. FASA even has quite a few components that allows for bulding different Saturns. In addition to those, Shadowmage is busy making a whole host of parts that will allow building anything from the first Saturns, to Nova and all the way past MMM. But hey, I'm just pitching my 2 cents here.

That might very well be true. I just don't see the point of having yet another of the same launch vehicle, nor do I see the point of having Kartoffelkuchen spending his free time making something that already excists. I'm sure he would rather use his skills bringing something new and exciting to the game, instead of making a copy of the Saturn family.

But who knows, he might very well be interested. (Fingers crossed for something new and shiny, instead of that old rustbucket).
