well in 1.21 some stuff worked with tweak scale and some didnt. for example my stock stuff would rescale but not the ammount in the tanks but my kw stuff wouldnt rescale at all. ill see how 1.22 is later

this was in 64x btw

I don`t get the scaling option on any part.

Will crosspost to IR, I have no clue how to actually debug deeper conflicts and I have a ton of mods installed under x64

Apparently the problems with Procedural Fairings are caused by different versions of KSPAPIExtensions. That was not fixed in 1.22, but is now, so if you've downloaded 1.22, just download it anew.

Seems to me the IR problem is actually the same problem.

Weird. It works flawlessly on my confuser.

Interresting...

Starting to wonder now if some other mod include old versions or something else creates a conflict.

Will start to delete mod by mod and see if the cause is some where else...

Actually, the problem you described might be related to the problems with Procedural Fairings and IR. Please just download the newest version of TweakScale and see if that fixes the problem.

I am using 1.22 right after it was posted, otherwise I`d have waited with commenting ;)

1.22 solves the problem with the invisible menu for IR after manually just replacing the dll`s, just no scaling yet but that might be just a minor detail.

Fairings I just deleted completely for now.

The fun trying to use the logs for the first time with everything being updated :sticktongue:

Appears that parts now start showing the scaling menu aswell, yay!

Wonder if PP can be fixed now, got to love stretchy tanks :)

1.22 is throwing a bunch of nullref's in this form:

Tons of rescaling messages and then nullrefs. I built a craft from scratch with stock parts and it's doing this. When I fly I get the camera drift problem where your focus changes away from the existing craft after staging.

I completely removed all tweakableeverything files. I think it's fixed now. Solar panels seem to have been the cause. TweakableE and tweakscale were fighting over them or something.

I'm getting the camera drift again. TweakScale and TweakableEverything were all that I updated today before nullrefs started going off.

Its still the wrong files. KSP creates TWO logs. The first one ksp.log is what you are uploading. That is just basic logs and contains no details. The other, is called ooutput_log.txt and is in the KSP_Data (or 64bit data if you are running that) and contains MUCH more detail. That is what would be needed to see what is causing the NREs.

I don't even know. Probably caused by the earlier exceptions.

Then there's a few from Extraplanetary Launchpads, MechJeb, and some that are harder to figure out. You have 39 plugins installed. One of them has an old version of KSPAPIExtensions (1.5.1.8). You have TweakScale from IR as well as the official version. Near Future Technologies is according to the forum not updated for 0.24, and several of the others are impossible to identify the version of. It seems... rash, to me, to say that this is TweakScale's fault.

If you really want to find out what's doing this, remove one plugin at a time until the problem disappears, then try adding the others back, until it appears again. If you want to be effective, use binary search.

KAS and Alarm Clock have been running without causing this problem for two days of numerous wacky missions ala contracts. IR was updated fairly recently and I see there's a problem of some sort there. Not a single KAS or IR part has been used in a vehicle yet except what KAS does to stock parts. I'm only using Near Future Solar which has one dll and I also have not used its panels yet. I'll replace the KSPAPI, see what IR does to its tweakscale.dll, and work from there.

I'm still having trouble with mass scaling in the new version - I have tried both massFactors (which you confirmed was deprecated, so of course I didn't expect it to work - and it didn't) and this inside a SCALETYPE {} :

SCALETYPE {

name = whatever

otherstuff = otherstuff

TWEAKSCALEEXPONENTS {

mass = 2.5

}

}

This has no effect - everything scales as if the exponent were 3 (8x the weight for 2x the size). Am I still doing this wrong?

This plugin crashed into my personal "KSP must have mods" list instantly, it is such a day-saver, thanks a ton for creating it!

I installed Tweakscale, but cant scale nothing.

If i rightklick the parts, i just can see the data of the part and "ISshieldedfalse", where the scale slider should be

The 'isShielded: False' is from FAR. The fact that TweakScale doesn't show up... Maybe you too have IR installed and run into the problem that's been discussed and which 1.23 fixes?

SUGGESTION: Allow height and width to be independently adjusted.

Why would I want that?

1) I want to lengthen a tank to increase it's fuel capacity, but not its width.

2) I have a service pod mod in which I want to decrease its width (to fit on a narrower rocket) but keep the height so that it stores the same parts within.

Just a thought. As I previously mentioned, this is a Must Have mod. I'm glad that you recompiled/tested it with KSP 0.24 so soon after release. Thanks.

It's been mentioned a few times, and wouldn't be hard to add. However, it would be hard to make it look nice, which is one reason I haven't yet done it. Cpt. Kipard, ZodiusInfuser and I discussed a few ideas for supporting this kind of scaling in a way that would look good, but thus far, nothing has come of it.
