Personally, I'd like to have Zarya-styled RCS tanks and ISS-themed trusses and radiators. But good ISS copies may be assembled with Near Future parts (radiators, solar wings, trusses), FusTek (American segment) and Tantares (Russian segment) combined. And I've seen a mod on MEPS pallets, can't remember the link.

Actually Kosmos is getting an offical overhaul so combined with fustek I would say that is the best combo for and ISSalike station. The tantares stuff would be great for resupplying the station.

Tantares 1.25 Soyuz wont look well with ~2.5 KOSMOS parts, but looks really nice with 1.875 and 2.5 Tantares Vegas, I'd suggest using HGR Soyuz with KOSMOS. I've tried in the past several mod combinations and stopped on the dependency Tantares+FusTek+NearFutureSolar+NearFutureConstruction+NearFutureElectric+MEPS for good quality copies. AIES ladders and HGR 1.25-1.875 adapters can help in making PMA, but they can be done without them anyway.

That what I was talking about (I was too lazy and hyperedited it to orbit):

unfortunatly it not work (or i do it wrong). not big deal, real chute must be deleted!)

Beale's confix fix for upside down chutes works for me. Find file "Tantares_RealChute_MM.cfg" in RealChute folder. There are configs for 2 parts and you want second one (@PART[Tantares_Parachute_A]:FOR[RealChute]). Find this...

With the Tantares parts (glory to Beale !), it's possible to make it looking even more realistic with low part count, even more if using few FusTek parts.

I had never heard of this pack... Great stuff!

I wish I had the drive to deal with FusTek's dependencies. It's such a beautiful mod, and a lovely ISS could be done in combination with this one.

That's not to say I want Tantares to tackle the American/European orbital segments, though. I'm happy with Tantares being what it is. Only things I'd want added to this pack are more probe parts, since I like tiny spacecraft, but again, I'm happy with Tantares as is.

My general "roadmap" is

1. See something I like.

2. Put it in game.

TKS textures need a pass over in general, they're exceptionally harsh, compared to other textures.

It has no IVA yet, so no fixed number.

I'm questioning 2 or 3.

It doesn't have any control, so you might find a few difficulties using it for a Gemini :wink:

Not much new to show unfortunately.

As for the Shenzou, it's been a possibility for a long while, but not for the foreseeable future.

That is one huge Soyuz (or a small ISS) :D

This is the downside of making a three-person Soyuz in stock. And I try to keep the countpart low and not use part clipping. In stock, I have my Soyuz rocket 2.5 meter and my Proton with 3.75 base core + 2.5m radial tanks. I have a 1.25-m stock Soyuz craft, but it has only 1 crew, so it's almost useless. :c

That's where your mod comes into the game, I've played mostly stock with my friend in mutliplayer, and since the first releases of Tantares I've been watching and using it. Your job is really awesome. :)

What happened to the alternate textures from the previous release, though? Those were also great!

That mashup of the SoyJuice pod and the VA descent engine is really interesting! I do like that :)

About the textures, they were sadly lost in the transition to 0.25

In general I'll be trying to re-release them.

But you know in general, all the textures need re-doing, especially on the larger parts where the low texel density means the "segmented panels" approach doesn't really work.

So here is the new Spektr part, compare it to the TKS orbital segment.

Also, compare it to one of the smaller parts, it fits in better with the little stuff, no?

Feedback on this sort of stuff would be very interesting. Especially from any 3D artists out there and any other Stockalike modders (I'm very much an amateur).

I would agree that that the Spektr is closer to stock, and is better fitting with the smaller parts. Thanks for making it three as well!
