It solved your problem with white continents. But your still not getting clouds on Venus are you? I haven't been able to get clouds on any other planet except Earth with the new RSS.

Same, but that's probably intended until rbray's new tools are implemented?

I wish I knew more about coding... or even how to code for ksp. I'd live ti be able to help more....

Edit: clouds on Venus might be enabled the same way as clouds on Earth? It's just a thought and I'll test after I get other launch sites working in RSS

From my understanding the naming scheme of Kopernicus, which RSS now uses, is its own unique scheme, so a different planet represents venus than than the planet that represented venus before RSS used Kopernicus, which was the planet Eve. Now I think it might be Dres or something.

Yep that's true I think while seen the RSS Kopernicus cfg and yeah Venus is now Dres but called like Venus. I was trying conbinations of codes but still no clouds so I don't really know. I'm seeing other mods that use Kopernicus and have a EVE config

Yes, thanks for looking into this. I understand C# but I don't yet understand the workings of KSP atmospheres and such. I haven't the time to dive into such things to date. I'm curious how difficult it is for us to convert RVE to Kopernicus.

Ok, so your saying that Kopernicus allows Celestial Body renaming and main menu renaming. But you can't rename for PQS and scaled space. So What naming type of those is EVE using? Celestial body or the PQS? Are we to use the renamed RSS actual real name of the planets? Or is EVE to use the KSP stock names?

pditty8811: Yeah, last time I checked, EVE tries to find a scaled space transform of the same name as the celestial body. Obviously that will fail for Earth. Instead, it should get the scaled space transform on the same gameobject as the celestial body monobehaviour is a component on.

The other issue is the one regarding shaders.

I used just EVE mod, RVE is quite simular as I understand. You can add some clouds with notepad too :)

There are such black dots in atmospheres of Venus, Titan and Earth from the long distances. I don't understand why. anibody know?

http://funkyimg.com/i/Yuhn.png - Venus is OK from low orbit. ...?

I got a question what RSS version are you using? If 10.0.1 another question what name do you put on the EVE cfg for the celestial Body? Can you send a file maybe by GitHub or anything?

I don't really know what are the black spots but I also get them on the Earth but maybe are something with the shaders

As cosmo asked, what version of KSP are you using? 1.0 or greater?

Also, if 1.0 or greater, please explain how you added clouds to Venus. Post example please. No one here has got EVE with RSS with KSP 1.0 or greater work with Venus clouds. Thanks.

Well, it's my simplified my own mod (really I created special beauty mod for stock, New Horizons and RSS, last one is not ready), almost everywhere (on big planets) I put atmosphere, somewhere they are deactivated.

I use ksp 1.0.2 with upgraded unity to x64, it's almost like 1.0.2 but more stable and can use win 7/8

By the way, I can see the same black dots on Jool in intestellar, but it's not too easy to notice them. damned shaders!

Ok downloading now to see what have you done to make those damm clouds to appear:D Also I'll try to aply this to RVE

Thanks and I'm also using "hacked" x64 on 1.0.2

I'm excited about this too. I'm using the same KSP x64 1.02 setup as you guys. I'll check it out too.

Can confirm that Alexoff's mod does indeed work. It also has rings around Saturn (perhaps that was already added by 10.1 RSS and I didn't notice). Great job Alexoff and of course Nathan.

I did notice one thing, the white halo ring that appears around some planets, like Saturn, when you zoom in really close.

It seems Alexoff posted about it here already

Just amazing guys.

Right Now I'm tying to implement the Alexoff's configs to RVE but having some trouble:(

I removed EVE and RVE and just copied and paste his files into my GameData folder. Its that simple. Alexoff's clouds on Earth seem to be more numerous and possibly more realistic too.

But I'm trying to merge it to RVE for the ground textures and the atmosphere
