Nope I just tried with my Game Data folder like you said and it didn't work.  Here are the pictures  http://imgur.com/a/LB6CI

This is what it should look like. You will need to take out the folders one by one. Place the RVE folder by itself into the GameData folder (you copied the whole RVE download). EVE is a separate folder. You need scatterer and texture replacer installed separately as well. Then take the scatterer and texture replacer folders out of the RVE download folder. Copy and paste them into the GameData folder (replace any files that are duplicates) these will copy over files that are in the original mod folders.

I got the atmosphere to work but clouds aren't.  http://imgur.com/a/clcM0

The only thing I can think of is you may need to change a name in one of the Atmosphere textures folder. In RVE change the name kerbin1 to Earth.

If not I would delete RVE, scatterer, EVE, and texture replacer and start again. Install scatterer and texture replacer first. Then EVE. Then RVE.

I changed the name and it didn't work.  Getting ready to reinstall the mods. Hey i realized that when i went to uninstall the mods I went for RVE first and my game was open and it let me uninstall while EVE it didn't.  So RVE wasn't even running!

awesome, thank you. maybe you could link it in its own KSP subreddit post?

I think it's something many, many people get wrong.

Yeah it is confusing to try and piece the instructions together from these posts.

Sorry to be another post about this not working entirely, I followed the video tutorial on how to install and I have a cloud layer but my oceans are transparent. When I splash down I bob up and down but on nothing but air. I saw a few other posts about this but wasn't able to find a solution. Attached is my gamedata folder.  Please let me know if you need anything else. http://imgur.com/a/3VbKO

Additionally EVE manager has the following errors

"No config! Please add a config with the content of "EVE_TEXTURE_CONFIG{}" to populate."

No config! Please add a config with the content of "PQS_MANAGER{}" to populate.

No config! Please add a config with the content of "EVE_SHADOWS{}" to populate.

No config! Please add a config with the content of "EVE_ATMOSPHERE{}" to populate.

I tried the fix for the dirt ocean on the reddit page, I deleted the scatter folder in gamedata, and then replaced it with a clean folder. I didn't transfer the RVE configs. I changed Kerbin to Earth in the plantilist CFG and also in the scatter config folder.

I much prefer a real life learning experience when I play KSP. That is done with RSS and RO and this mod. :) Love this mod and fuller support what ever needs to get done to bring it formally back to life!

Made a quick visual tutorial for you on how to install RVE for RSS. See video description for mod links.

THANK YOU. Tried installing everything through ckan and it didn't work. Followed that video and used your links and that solved it. Have nice fluffy clouds now :)

First go with Titans atmosphere using scatterer and EVE for atmospheres, looks decent from orbit but 2D EVE atmo layers cause glitchyness when descending through its atmosphere. Re did the sunflare since the recent scatterer update (lens flares still very much placeholders)

Where did you get that sunflare?

Anyone know if these cfgs will be added to a 1.2 compatible release ?

Comes time comes updates :P unless we don't have a RSS version for 1.2 we don't need to bother with rve :)

since scatterer introduced some changes there is quite a bit of adaption needed.

When there is a testingbed with RSS I see if my configs are easy to update as well and share them again :)
