Any idea why this only works on MechJeb and not KER? I mean when launch a new vessel it will only have the MechJeb but not KER.

It might have to do with the fact that this is functionality already offered by KER.

KER doesn't need any parts, but in Career mode you'll need them until you've upgraded your Tracking Center. That behavior can be overruled through the KER Settings dialog.

This is a simple fix; open the .cfg file & go to this section:

Quote

@PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleCommand]]:Final
{
    MODULE
    {
        name = FlightEngineer
    }
}

Change "FlightEngineer" to "FlightEngineerModule" & restart

I have Mechjeb 2 and this mod installed, but not all of the mechjeb windows are available.. I only see:

Flight Recorder

Scripting module

Setting

SmartRCS

Delta-V Stats

Orbit info

Surface info

Vessel info

What I need is the ascent guidence but this and other things are not present... How do I get the? I'm playing in career mode and I haven't unlocked many things in the tech tree and I thought this was supposed to eliminate the need for tech tree

Pretty sure it does not... The latest version I have v1.2.0.0, adds in the upgrade structure for the techtree, but it doesnt unlock everything at once... You can probably just edit the cfg to change the unlock techlevels all to an early level...

OR, since KER doesnt need this any more, people might be better off using MechJeb Embedded Universal... It does the same thing, just with the KER modules removed... It has two modes: one that keeps the unlock at different tech levels structure, and a "It's Free" mode, which is exactly what you are looking for: it unlocks everything right at the start...

I figured it out, I had to edit the mod's .cfg file in order to get the MJ windows all activated. :wink:

I had been doing this as well but now it suddenly no longer works.   Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the mod and have re-edited the CFG, still no go.

I think Module Manager updated right before this happened but Im not 100% sure.

As long as you have the latest Module Manager, this "should" work.

Unfortrunatelly not. I have installed latest version of KSP, MechJeb and Module Manager but this mod is not functional - tested for basic 1.3 and newest.

This is just a .cfg file, nothing too complicated. I think you can find someone in the Add-on section to fix it.

Like desribed earlier in this thread, you must change the part name in the config.

Also you can use "Stock Plugins".
