If you could only install 3 KSP mods... which 3 would it be?

Uh... I almost can't decide!

MechJeb: The delta-V data it gives is essential for just about every single interplanetary mission i do.

Environmental Visual Enhancements: Kerbin, Eve, and Laythe seem so weird without it now.

KSPX: I just LOVE the 2.5 meter nuclear engine, can't make interplanetary motherships without it.

1) DRE - Huge aspect of reentry

2) FAR - Huge aspect of rocket launches AND reentry

3) Mechjeb2 - Simulates real spacecraft navigational computers and is far more precise than any human pilot. Too bad it doesn't work with FAR.

Ferram Aerospace Research

Infernal Robotics

Spaceplane Plus

Yeah, i would really miss Spaceplane Plus... helped me creating some really nice Spaceplanes.

However, i threw out the wing parts and the 2 cockpits because stock already has wings and cockpits.

Those cockpit parts are awesome in all aspects, but they simply don´t feel ´kerbal´ enough in my opinion.

I actually got mine to work with FAR.

Don't ask it to land a plane though, it will be ugly.

With a plane you need to get the craft with in 5 deg of where you want the SMARTASS system to go, and set it to SURF mode and manually set the direction and pitch angle. I generally don't mess with the roll because why would I want my planes flying at a 45deg roll?

I have started using SMARTASS on re-entry to test that out. Set it for 15deg pitch up on one of my SSTO space planes and it does fine till it drops below 20km altitude. Then I lower the pitch between 5-10.

1. MechJeb

2. FAR

3. Active Texture Management (I think this one has been incredibly overlooked here... you can't play with tons of mods without it!)

I don't think it's been overlooked. If you could only have three mods, you're not going to run into memory problems.

Yeah but the general consensus is that we CAN'T play without three mods hahah. I guess I kinda looked at this more like "what three mods will you never play KSP without even if you have other mods installed".
